Jessica Alba, a well-known celebrity, is the founder of Honest Company that purports to produce eco-friendly products with natural ingredients. However, claims began to swirl that the company's sunscreen is ineffective and caused many people to experience bad sunburns. Now a new lawsuit claims that many of the products are mislabeled as safe and natural, while they actually contain synthetic and harmful materials. Jonathan Rubin, the plaintiff who filed the lawsuit, is seeking refunds for all Honest Company customers, which, if granted, would force the company to refund over $5 million. The company produces many home products including diapers, hand soap, cleaners, and sunscreen. The company has not yet responded to the lawsuit that was filed on September 3, 2015.
