Question: Is it a crime for someone to let other people see the sex video of a person without their permission?

Answer: It may be depending in the state where it was shown and the laws focused on protecting a person’s right to privacy. Without more information I am unable to venture a legal opinion about criminal law. But, I am familiar with the civil law and a similar incident in Iowa where the former boyfriend showed his friends a sex-tape of his former girlfriend during half-time of a football game they were watching on TV. That stunt cost him $100,000 for his invasion of her privacy and his attempts to cause her emotional distress. I doubt he'll do it again. Call the Lombardi Law Firm if we can help you recover damages for similar acts of degradation.
