Iowa Car and Truck Accident LawyerThis past year’s report card is in and death-related accidents increased slightly from 2011 through Christmas but we ended even through year’s end. Through Christmas Eve anyway, there were 357 traffic-related deaths, up 14 from 2011 traffic fatalities. There were a total of 360 deaths in 2011, but through Christmas Eve only 343. All told by year’s end we tied 2011 with 360 deaths from car, truck and motorcycle accidents.

Motorcycle accidents added quite a bit to the total.

“Seven motorcyclists died in March and five were killed in November this year, compared to two in March 2011 and none in November 2011.” Deaths on Iowa roads rise slightly in 2012 - Warm, dry days expand season for motorcycles.
