A crash occurred in Clarke County on May 1, 2012

HERBERGER CONSTUCTION OF INDIANOLA, IA BITUMONOUS INSURANCE SUSAN             515-971-5843       UNIT #1 WAS NB ON I-35 AT APPROXIMATELY 39.95MM. IN THIS AREA AT THE BRIDGE THEY WERE DOING ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON THE BRIDGE. THE HAD BOTH NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND LANES HEAD-TO-HEAD IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANES. WHILE ON BRIDGE IN THE NORTHBOUND LANE UNIT #1 STRUCK A BEAM THAT HAD FELL FROM WHERE THE CONSTRUCTION WORKERS WERE WORKING. THE BEAM IS ONE THAT IS POUNDED IN THE GROUND FOR BRIDGE SUPPORT. THE BEAM STRUCK THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT OF THE TRAILER AND ALSO DAMAGED A PROTO-TYPE CHEVY IMPALA CAR INSIDE THE TRANSPORT SEMI. AN INSURANCE ADJUSTER FOR HERBERGER CONSTRUCTION CAME TO THE SCENE. TROOPER FRANK #484 TOOK PHOTOS AND I FILLED OUT THE DOT FORM.
A crash occurred in Cedar County on April 25, 2012

UNIT ONE WAS EASTBOUND ON INTERSTATE 80 NEAR THE 254 MILE MARKER WHEN THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE. THE MOTORCYCLE TRAVELED APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET BEFORE STRIKING A DITCH EMBANKMENT AND COMING TO REST IN THE SOUTH DITCH.
