HyVee grocery stores sell macadamia nuts supplied by Marathon Ventures after that supplier discovered that some of its products had been tained by salmonella during an inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  After learning of this, HyVee voluntarily recalled all of its 2 oz. Macadamia Nuts products due to the possibility of contamination.  The product is packaged in small plastic bags with blue coloring. The product was sold to 240 HyVee stores in eight different states between July 2, 2015 and February 3, 2016.  Customers who purchased the product during that time are advised not to eat the nuts and return them for a refund. They may call HyVee at 1-800-772-4098 or the supplier, Marathon Ventures, at 402-934-8223.
