Former President Bush Should Lose His Retirement Pay

Let’s start off the week with a message from our former President. "F___ You."

Was that offensive? Are you offended? I would be. Now allow me to put it in perspective.

That's the wrong question. The right question is why weren't you offended?

The Facts: Would you ever believe a sitting US President would give the camera the middle finger? No? Read on and then watch the last video.

How much does a president of the United States earn after leaving office?

Bush will receive an annual pension of $186,000, travel funds, mailing privileges, Secret Service protection, office space, staff, stationery and transition expenses.

As far as I’m concerned that is $186,000 too much.

Why are we paying Bush and probably Cheney?

They promised that their form of deregulation, by taking a weed wacker to red tape, would make American business more competitive. They said it would save this country money. They used fear to persuade the elderly and those not smart enough to see what they were doing to vote for them and their programs. They drug this country into two wars based on faulty intelligence, lies and exaggerations. They did it by pitting family members against each other and labeling those who disagreed as “UnAmerican”. Through their Administration they cost this country trillions of dollars in waste, fraud and outright theft. I don’t know about you but in my office if we lose a trial we don’t get paid.

New American Business Model: Capitalism on the way up; socialism on the way out.

So why are we paying Bush and probably Cheney any retirement pay? You know they could care less what happens to this country; after all they handed their buddies in the capital markets over $700 Billion on the way out the door. And the blood letting of the US Treasury isn’t finished yet. How much did the members of this Administration get of that amount?

Were Bush and Cheney Being Paid to Fail?

Tax payers need to revolt and demand the United States Treasury be ordered to stop paying them in retirement. Bush gets $186,000 plus a security detail that has to be costing us several million a year. Cheny gets who knows how much. Each is worth millions; neither needs our money; but we do. Our country needs every dime it can get and why should we waste it on these two.

Both George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, the former U.S. president and vice president, are very wealthy. In 1989, Bush invested $600,000 to become part owner of the Texas Rangers major league baseball team. When the team was sold in 1998, Bush earned at least $14.9 million from the deal, according to CNN. As the governor of Texas, Bush earned $115,345 annually. Dick Cheney was CEO of Halliburton, an oil engineering company, from 1995 to 2000. In 2004 he recieved $194,852 in deferred compensation from Halliburton. His net worth is estimated to be at least $30 million, and in 2004, he reported $1.3 million in total income, compared to Bush's $672,788.

Why are we providing security detail for GeeDubbya and the guy who can't shoot straight? Let’s assume we didn’t and Iran came nosing around, then kidnapped him and took him back to Iran. What’s the worse that could happen? He shares with them his lies and exaggerated intelligence? So what, if they follow his advice he’ll bankrupt their country. Good.

Should Women Care?

Not if you don’t care that you were used.

“With new White House salary figures leaked to The Washington Post and an Excel spreadsheet, crack researcher Margot Williams determined that men in the Bush White House earn an average of $76,624 a year. Women earn $59,917 on average. That means Bush women earn about 78 percent of what Bush men earn.” Washington Post

Who are the Three Blind Mice? Even the Congress is Ripping us off

Congress receives frequent pay raises. Since 1989 a cost of living increase takes effect each year unless Congress votes against it. Pay for the average member of Congress has more than doubled in the past 20 years. For example, the average salary in 1983 was $69,800 and $141,300 in 2000. However, if you were to adjust the 1983 salaries for inflation, members of Congress made $119,708 in 2000. As of January 1, 2005, members of Congress make $162,100. The president pro tempore of the Senate and the majority and minority leaders of both houses are paid $180,100. The speaker of the House of Representatives makes $208,100.

What is going on in this country? Why aren't people madder? Why aretn't they willing to stop the corruption that has taken over politics? Here are your tax dollars at work.

The Net Worth of Americans vs. The Net Worth of Wall Street CEO's

11 Trillion Dollars is the amount of American net worth that has evaporated. Where did it go? Wall Street of course. In the form of bonuses and fees. But what are the Republicans saying? They are saying we need to spend more. And so are the Democrats. There is no difference between the two. The Republicans have the same value system as the Democrats. No longer are there any clear lines of demarcation when either party discusses the economy.

Should this guy get the Nobel Peace Prize?

What was he doing while the country was being robbed by Wall Street?

And what was Bush doing while Katrina was ravaging New Orleans?

And what was he doing during 9-11? "Mr. President the country is under attack!" Was this a funny situation?

Here is the video you’ve been waiting for. It’s President Bush telling us what he thinks of the American voter. Enjoy it, all you fools that voted for him. He’s holding up your IQ.
