Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston and Ozark, Missouri is known for being the "Home of the Throwed Rolls," where waiters toss rolls to seated customers. In September 2014, customer Troy Tucker, 67, was struck in the eye by a tossed roll at the restaurant located in Sikeston. Ms. Tucker suffered a lacerated cornea that she relates to the roll hitting her in the eye. She originally sued for $6,000.00 in medical bills, but is now suing the restaurant and seeking $35,000.00 for medical bills and damages. Ms. Tucker's attorney, William Meehan, stated that Lambert's has a dangerous practice of throwing rolls at diners creating risk of injury and he says that the restaurant has been sued for similar reasons before, all suits settling outside of court.
