Eye-In-The-Sky Kaching-Cameras! Go Live on Independence Day

Des Moines Unmanned Traffic Cameras: Fair Warning Period Ends Sunday - Big Brother Officially Legal
Des Moines, Iowa - Unmanned Traffic Cameras: Law enforcement goes on automatic pilot at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011. It almost seems ironic that on the 4th of July weekend, Independence Day, we lose a little more independence. The reason the public needs red light and speed cameras is twofold. First, the towns need the easy predictable revenue. Second, it's both predictable and easy to catch these law breakers. And that is the sad part of this entire scenario. Like ignoring the warnings on a package of cigarettes red light runners are asking for trouble and playing against the odds that sooner or later they will cause an accident that can result in serious injury or death, which by the way may actually be their own. So Sunday Des Moines cameras are live and like slot machines the coin will come in by the dump truck load; because, Sunday is the last day for a free warning to red light jumpers. The cameras are installed at East 15th and Maple streets, 19th Street and University Avenue, MLK Jr. Parkway and School Street, 9th Street and Grand Avenue and Southeast 5th Street and Army Post Road. The fine will be $65 for running a red light, $65 for speeding by one to 15 mph, $75 for speeding 16 to 20 mph and $80 for speeding more than 21 mph. "A video is worth a thousand words. If we can change this type of behavior in the city of Des Moines, I think it will save lives in the end," said Scott. Police said they have seen fewer violations than expected, captured by the cameras.

OWI is a serious problem and when the police arrest you for OWI or OUI the criminal system can be a puzzle. What do you say and to who? Who do you have to talk to? When should you not talk to anyone? Was it only a field sobriety test that the police officer performed? If you're innocent you need to prove it or make it so they can't prove otherwise. Even if you want to plead guilty you should get the same treatment someone in your position receives. OWI-1sts, OWI-2nd's and others are what we handle. No one should have to go through an OWI prosectution alone. Call me and I'll help you find an attorney for less than the $2,500.00 everyone else is charging. FAQs

Civil damage lawsuits and criminal law deaths, OWI and drunk driving

Do I have to be present during settlement? Do I have to be with my lawyer when a settlement is made for my personal injury claim? I really do not want to face my neighbors right now. My son was bitten by their dog and they claim that it was my son's fault. I want my solicitor to stick to the amount that I want them to pay me. Can my solicitor make the settlement in my behalf?

Can we sue someone who hit us after a DUI? My pregnant wife was driving the car and a drunk driver hit us and ruined the car. Cops came and gave the guy a DUI. No injuries but I am wondering, am I obligated to a claim because now she is scared to drive or be inside a car.

What can I do if I am caught driving without a license again? I was in an accident; I do not have a license. Took a chance to get back and work. I have been caught before and this will make it my third felony driving while suspended. The ticket written was only for not providing a license, what can I do?
