One occupant of the home was taken to the hospital for injuries, and one firefighter suffered a back injury after falling through the damaged floor in the building. The fire created a hole in the floor that was hidden by the substantial amount of smoke produced by the flames, rendering the firefighter unable to see the potential for danger. The damage to the home is estimated at $60,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
