This has all the makings of the kind of drama that Hollywood loves for a script. Man needs a liver transplant, his health insurer authorizes it, but when the treating physician recommends going out-of-state to avoid delays in his home state, the insurance company withdraws authorization. He sues, wins and even gets the girl. Well I’m making the part about the girl up, but the rest is laid out in a blog post listed in the ABA Journal’s blog section. It’s a great read and will make an even better movie. Move over Damon you, because a real-life Rainmaker script is coming your way.
