The collision occurred on Highway 169 at mile marker 164; 5 miles north of Ft Dodge, Iowa. The time is noted to be 1541 hours, or 3:41 pm. The time is not a late night crash but the fact it’s still under investigation indicates lab work is pending. As you can see from the description the elderly woman is described as having crossed the center line and striking the young driver head-on. He may have a decent claim, but he’d better get his investigation done before her insurance company destroys the car and let’s evidence slip away. Tires, prescription medications, eyesight, mental confusion and cockpit distractions may all be contributing factors a proper investigation would take into account.
