We've had several construction site accidents here in Iowa over the past several weeks. In one instance a wall collapsed pinning two men. I today's post the report is about the entire building that collapsed pinning several workers. I've seen both in my work of representing injured workers.

Building Collapses in Rockwell City, Iowa

For the second time in a few weeks a building under construction partially collapsed pinning several construction workers underneath the rubble. In this instance the report has the building itself falling down, rather than just a wall like the one in Blairsburg, Iowa that collapsed. (Hamilton County) Again officials, whoever they might be, are saying wind was a contributing factor. I posted an extensive article on construction zone safety zones and wall bracing to compensate for wind velocity and strength.

For additional information see the post -

Was it the wind that caused this construction site wall to collapse and injure the worker?
