At the Iowa Farm Progress Show near Boone a Cessna 150 plane with just the pilot onboard crashed and the pilot died. The plane is registered to Drake Aerial Enterprise from Genoa, Ohio. The FAA is investigating. The plane was towing a very large advertising banner when it crashed. There is nothing in the report about the company or product being advertised at the time of the crash. I can't think of a worse impression for people to have of your product.
A witness is shown as John Anderson, a pilot/flight instructor on the radio with Mr. Danhauer the day before the crash. The FAA will be talking to him. KCCI reporting. A later story identified the pilot as 24-year-old Adam Danhauer of Whitehouse, Ohio. He is a young man, and perhaps one with a young family now being without the breadwinner.
See also Whitehouse Ohio native dies in Boone Iowa plane crash and ask yourself if the banner was too long for the size of the plane. The one witness has the plane to low to the corn, perhaps because the banner was too large for the size of the plane. The banner catches the corn stalks and pulls the plane down into the ground. Preventable? Perhaps.
So how does the widow make ends meet when the breadwinner is killed while working?
This story leads me to consider over-the-road truck drivers or OTC Truckers, as we refer to them.

After a worker is injured is when they need the support of their employer the most. But injured workers aren't given a level playing field. The company doctor often times is not helping them and the case manager isn't either. The worker is left alone to fend for themselves and to make mistakes that result in lower benefits or fewer weeks of benefits. Some are sent back to work too soon. There is only one person on your side and that understands this system. If your lawyer doesn't understand the nature of this claim you've got the wrong lawyer. Steve Lombardi has practiced in the area of workers compensation for over 30 years. He's tried hundreds of cases for more than one thousand clients.
