Another unexplained crossing of the center line, a head-on crash and death of the driver in Iowa

Orrin John Troester was driving west on Highway 128, when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2002 Sterling Semi-truck being operated by Richard Allen Besler of Epworth, Iowa. Mr. Epworth is 47 and Mr. Troester was 61. Troester died in the collision. He was transported to Elkader Hospital and then to the Iowa Medical Examiner.  The accident occurred on April 27, 2009 at around 11:15 a.m.

The Iowa State Patrol had no further explanation in the preliminary crash report.  The report summary stated:

VEH NUMBER 1 WAS WEST BOUND ON HWY 128 WHEN IT CROSSED THE CENTER LINE MAKING CONTACT WITH VEH NUMBER 2 HEAD ON ASSISTED BY CLAYTON COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE GARNAVILLO FIRE DEPT AND ELKADER FIRE DEPT.

In this case the seat belt made no difference. I have to wonder why Troester's vehicle would come across the center line. An autopsy may show he suffered a heart attack or that his medications weren't properly taken causing him to black out.  Without he blood work from the autopsy there isn't any cause that is apparent.
