Age, Eyesight and Iowa Car Accident Crash Liability

Iowa PI Accident: McQuown and Knuths

In this June 10, 2011 accident in Palo Alto, Iowa we have an 83 year-old driver in car one and in car two there is a 23-year-old driver. In the first car are no injured passengers and in car two there appears to be two injured passengers. The ISP Trooper describes the accident as having occurred because driver one did not see the second car and although he had a duty to yield (stop sign) he failed to do so, pulling out in front of the Ford van and the two collided. Driver one was driving a 1987 Mercury PC. This is simply a failure to yield question which sent four people to the hospital.
