Gangsters, Banksters and RICeO’s abound with new and old fraudulent schemes

And in other news having a questionable financial angle… it’s been a very busy week for new and old financial rip-off schemes by blue, black, grey, pink and white collared criminals. Our old friend Scott Rothstein, who pleads guilty to operating a $1.3 billion Ponzi scheme from his law office in south Florida, was sentenced to 50 years in a federal prison. Is $1.3 billion enough to create a cloud of suspicion for other criminal activity? Meanwhile his former office manager awaits her fate after being charged in the matter and the investors await further criminal charges and the recoupment of their investments.

Is the Melissa Lewis Murder Motive ID'd in the Rothstein Plea Agreement with the United States?

Remember Melissa Lewis? If you dont' know about her read my blogs below. Don’t ever forget her. My guess is Tony Villegas thinks about her all the time. He must also think about Scott Rothstein the Fort Lauderdale lawyer who has now plead guilty of a $1B+ Ponzi scheme involving his ‘friends’ and colleagues. I first wrote about Mr. Rothstein’s law firm when one of the lawyers in his firm turned up dead.

Ohio’s Minimum Liability Limits are a Paltry $12,500

Ohio is a miserable state to get in a car accident. Presently I have a client who died in Ohio from getting t-boned at an intersection collision. The financial minimum limit one has to carry on car accidents in Ohio is a paltry $12,500.00 per person. Can you believe that? You can kill a person and only have to pay the dead person’s estate $12,500.

The Ponzi Victim and the Ponzi Whistleblower

Walk with the cameraman as he tours the hallways or Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler. And take the time to read the emails someone has posted and alleged sent by the person who is the focus of this investigation. And note the themes of security and control. Access to the main proponent is strictly controlled. That limits information to those who might ask too many questions. To do this there is the empowerment of those desperate for access to a position of power they have not rightly earned. Everything about this says there is something wrong. From a common sense point of view it makes little sense. And yet it succeeds in fooling those who are used to following the crowd or who are greedy for a success they did not earn.
